We are buzzing!

After completing our evening classes in March, some of us are still regularly attending the beekeeping sessions at Gleaston Water Mill as part of our training. We have two suits, a smoker, a hive tool and two beehives (all from the support of Furness Beekeepers) and are hoping to move our new bees into Ford Park over the next few weeks!! You can see here our hives being painted and the day at Gleaston when the bees were a bit persistent and some people hopped into the stream to shake them off!! It is good to develop the range of pollinators in our garden.
